Elevating Husbandry Through Data

Clutch Keeper is more than a digital logbook. It is a modern, cross-platform ecosystem designed to remove the friction from scaling and managing exotic animal collections.

The Problem with the Status Quo

Every serious keeper knows the struggle of outgrowing their system. Masking tape on terrariums peels off. Dry-erase boards get accidentally wiped. Spreadsheets become tangled webs of unreadable data.

When I looked for a digital solution to fix this, the options available were frustrating. The existing programs were either needlessly complicated, artificially capped how many animals you could track to force subscription upgrades, completely lacked cross-platform syncing, or were pieces of software that hadn't seen a meaningful developer update in years. The hobby deserved better.

The Creator & The Advantage

I practically grew up in the back of my dad’s reptile store. Being surrounded by exotic animals my entire life taught me early on that meticulous, consistent husbandry is the difference between an animal merely surviving and truly thriving.

But passion alone doesn't build good software. Leveraging my degree in engineering and my background in software development, I set out to build the exact tool I wanted to use in my own reptile room. Clutch Keeper is engineered to be robust, utilizing a modern tech stack to ensure your records are secure, your app is fast, and your data is always exactly where you need it.

The Philosophy

Your data shouldn't be trapped on a single device. A core philosophy of Clutch Keeper is seamless, cross-platform accessibility. Whether you are scanning a QR code with your phone in the reptile room or reviewing growth velocity charts on your desktop, the experience should be unified and instant.

The Roadmap

Clutch Keeper is actively being built by a solo developer who actually knows the animals and people the software is designed for. Because of this, development is deeply focused on practical utility over bloated "features."

The application is currently in active development, and the closed beta will be launching in just a few months.
